THE FLOATILA is more than a raft race. It's an "inner tube, raft, kayak, make-your-own-vessel,
borrow your buddies canoe" kind of afternoon on the river. Get in at the Rivermont Park boat ramp, float
down the Tennessee River for several hours and then celebrate with music, food and beverages at Coolidge Park for the After Party and Awards Ceremony. If you're not ready to let the party die when it's over just head over to the 2nd Annual Beer Over Dirt event in Renaissance Park (floaters get a discount).
WHY DO IT? The Floatila strives to be "the" unique outdoor event that will foster local pride-of-place
and send a signal to residents and visitors that Chattanooga cares about itself, natural resources and
quality of life.
